Resilient Maple Sugaring in a Changing World
February 4th, 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Maple syrup producers in the Northwoods have noticed many changes in their woods in recent years, such as earlier tapping seasons and less winter snowpack. Join Scott Hershberger (Forestry Communications Specialist) and Tony Johnson (Working Lands Forestry Educator) from UW–Madison Extension Forestry on Zoom to learn how the changing climate is affecting the health of maple trees and the quality and quantity of syrup—as well as what producers are doing in their woods and sugarhouses to be resilient. Register to receive the Zoom link and a link to the recorded program.
