SESSION 1 People, programs and planning: assistance with your woodlands

The creation of a healthy woodland requires knowledge of forestry techniques, and the investment of time and money. This session will link you to the people, programs and organizations that offer technical and financial assistance for all aspects of your woodland, including the Managed Forest Law tax program. We will also take you through the beginning steps of woodland management. Start by considering what is important to you, and learn what resources will be needed to make your vision a reality.

SESSION 2 What does the future hold?

Do you know what is going to happen to your woodlands in the future? Do your heirs know? Do you think you know what your heirs want to happen to the woodlot? This session will cover the steps you need to take to ensure the future of your woodlands with the next generation.

SESSION 3 Keeping your trees healthy

Do you have injured or dying trees? This session will review insects, diseases, non-native invasive species, and other factors that can affect the vigor and diversity of your woodland. You will leave knowing signs and symptoms of sick or stressed trees, and who to call if you have a concern.

$10.00 per session or $25.00 for all three

Space is limited, so pre-registration is recommended. Late registration is $15 per session or $35 for the series.
