Timber Sale Talk-and-Tour in Dunn County

Do you have questions about timber sales or contracts?

Join us for a Timber Sale Talk-and-Tour! We will be snowshoeing around a privately owned woodlot that was marked for a timber sale taking place this spring. On the tour we will hear from the landowner and local Forester about:

• the landowners goals and past harvesting activities
• how the forester decided which trees to mark for harvesting
• the timber sale process
• how harvesting can help maintain the health of your trees

We will provide each participant a folder full of resources on forest management and the timber sale process, along with a sample contract and list of loggers in northwestern Wisconsin. Bring your snowshoes or YakTrax and we will bring the coffee and snacks!
