Maple Hour: Sap Flow and the SCO (State Climatology Office)

A man drilling a hole in a maple tree to collect sap

February 20th, 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM

It’s tapping time! Join this special edition of the Maple Hour for sugaring updates from across Wisconsin.

We want to know, how’s the sap flowing in your neck of the woods?

We’ll be joined by the Wisconsin State Climatology Office to talk about an exciting new project in collaboration with the National Weather Service. Paul Buchmann and Josh Bendorf, will be sharing information about a new Sap Flow Forecast tool, and recruiting maple producers to collect data to help test the tool this sugaring season.
