Forest Farm Training at Misty Dawn Farm

Join Ingrid West – Owner of Misty Dawn Farm and President of Shiitake Grower’s Association, Savanna Institute, and Natural Resources Educator Tony Johnson to learn about forest farming implementation processes. From grazing planning to the discussion of challenges and opportunities of forest farming, agricultural professionals can learn how to support farmers and landholders to reach their forest farming goals. Learn about orchard restoration, goat grazing considerations, invasive species control, and maple plantations. There will also be a hands-on opportunity for participants to inoculate logs.
