About the event

Located on Lindsey Bluff in Wood County, the Marshfield School Forest boasts 320 acres of well managed aspen, oak and pine forest. The School District has owned and managed this property for almost 70 years.

Open to local students and community members, visitors learn about forestry and the history of the land. This property has an extensive trail system and decades of forestry activities to showcase.

Join us to see this special example of public land stewardship and education in central Wisconsin.  The tours will feature four topics: forest invasive species, pond maintenance, aspen harvests, and red pine management.  Other subjects discussed include the woodland wildlife, forest health, invasive species ID and control, and trail development and maintenance.
